Readings fall to 0 (zero) after a while

Jan Hoogendoorn

Question

I have a FIBARO Smart Implant device attached to a SenseAir tSENSE CO2-meter which sends the 0-10V voltage signal of the CO2-meter to Domoticz. A virtual sensor "VoltageCO2" contains the voltage from the CO2-meter and a dzVents script converts the voltage to the virtual sensor "CO2 Woonkamer".

There two types of 'sending settings' for the Smart Implant:

  1. Readings from the tSENSE are sent to Domoticz when the change in voltage from the tSENSE exceeds a certain percentage;
  2. Readings from the tSENSE are sent to Domoticz at a regular interval.

The problem with 1) is that everything goes right when changes are rather fast, but when changes are very slow, there seems to be no sending when the critical percentage is exceeded. Method 2) actually does not function at all and I discovered it only after a long time, constantly looking at what was happening. The data are received in Domoticz at the set interval, but in a flash of a second they are zeroed (so when you just look at the values at random intervals, you think that there is no receiving of reading at all).

Now my question is: is this malfunctioning of Domoticz or malfunctioning of the Smart Implant? And if it is the Smart Implant, can it be fixed?
