HC2 fails communication ZWave.

Question

Posted

Hello,

I have a Home Center 2 for more than a year that yesterday seems to fail.

I can connect to it and see all devices and configurations but I cannot get any communication to devices.

All of them report a communication problem that seems HC2 cannot communicate to them.

All leds in HC2 are ok and no other problem is reported.

Can someone suffer similar problem and has any idea how to solve it?

Many thanks for your help.

BR

Roberto.

- try rebooting

- try restoring a backuo

- try exclude and then include one device

If all of the above does nothing. mail fibaro support, so they can have a look

    Hi again,

I checked equipment and devices and they communicate if close to HC2 (less than 1m.)

When I place a temperature sensor less than 1m from controller, it communicate properly. Also roller shutters that are closed to HC2 (3-5m) works ramdomly.

It seems as amplifier for HC2 is not working properly or there is an inhibitor in my house.

Is there other system that can communicate in same frequency?

How can I check any of both items (amplifier and inhibitor)?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Roberto.

You can check this with a zsniffer (search forum)

You can also try removing all batteries from your devices and check if the other devices work properly (almost empty battery can do strange things)

I disconnect two Wifi repeaters I have at home for top and lower floors and now system works as perviously.

I don't know why, but after disconnecting both, system recovers functionallity.

Also heat pump remote control (868Mhz) is also working again.

I will investigate more during weekend.

    thanks for your help.

    Hi Novopucho,

Did you get to the bottom of it? I have the same problem which started all of a sudden after a HC2 restart.

    Thanks,

    MM7
