Lua scene for turning off device based on safe motion period.

Question

Posted

Hi all. I am looking for a lua scene to do the following.

  • Scene triggered by turning on switch (bathroom fan)
  • Scene checks motion sensor
  • If the motion is breached, the fan must stay on
  • If  motion period is safe for 10 minutes and then turn off switch (bathroom fan)

Note: The motion sensor is used to control lights as well. I am also trying to avoid the scene being triggered by the motion sensor itself.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks @SmartHomeEddy. I want the scene to be triggered by turning in the switch only and not triggered by the motion sensor.

change the condition/trigger to the switch.

    Does this work on HC2?

    Oh, sorry, is for HC3

You could change it to HC2 syntax. Maybe this post gives you ideas:
