CO Sensor Lifetime

Mike El

Question

I received my CO Sensor today and the manual says it has a expectedly lifetime of 8 years but the sensor itself says: “Replace by 30-06-2026” so that’s only 5,5 years!
Is this normal or did I receive 2,5 year old stock?

IMHO at least 5 a 6 years, otherwise the supplier should replace it, or a reasonable rebate.

If it's to long on stock he should mention it.

If I buy something I expect that has the latest hardware revision/ longest lifespan like CO sensor, firmware I can upgrade but not the hardware.
