Hi, I am unsure of how to do this... I will be having an electrician install my chandelier, and it will be powered directly from a wall outlet box. I have the Dimmer 2 module and plan on putting it in the chandelier canopy. I have a ISY994I with zwave module that I will use for home automation control (unless there is an easier hub solution(I also have Insteon light switches, outlets, and scene controllers). I use CQC home automation software).

Problem...how do I manually turn on/off the lights with a physical wall mounted switch. I have read that I need a momentary one, but I am not sure what to get. Ideally I would like to be able to control 2 or 4 Fibraro dimmer modules via 1 or 2 wall switches. I have seen some products that go in a wall switch box and others that just attached to the wall.

I want something that will be reliable and easy for everyone to use.

Suggestions?

In my research there are two options to consider.

First are regular type light switches, these are useful for retrofits and where there are non-techies users. In Australia, the clipsal Saturn range with push button mechanisms fits this category. These require mains cabling in the walls but are intuitive.

Secondly, you can use a battery powered zwave controller like remotec zrc90 or aeotec wallmote. More flexible but less intuitive.

You can also have both!

Hi Negatron

I use the following in my setup. Fuga - ZHC5010-WH-4

With this you are able to link to your Dimmer 2 and control different scenes.

You can also use the one Tim is suggestion. there you dont have any installation.
