Master Slave HC3 and HC3L

Hello,

I received the HC3L today and put it into operation.

The HC3 has the current version 5.50.13 not the beta 5.63.30.
The HC3L has the current version 5.60.47 not the beta 5.63.30.

If I now want to connect the two gateways, the HC3L appears in the menu with the note "5.060.47 - incompatible".

Do I really have to upgrade both to the same version, in this case unfortunately a beta version, or is there another possibility?

Please sent mail to support, i had some kind of the same problem and they had to login to correct this.

As far as i know, both have to be on the same fw level. so upgrade is a must in this case

Ok, but I can‘t find a commun Version which isn‘t a Beta Version.

Last beta is running fine over here, you can wait a couple of days. the next stable version is being launched in a couple of days (including launch party)

Hallo,

 

both devices are now on version now on 5.070.42.

On both, I have now the message to prepare a Slave-Configuration.

The HC3 has no device on the list with available devices.

The HC3L annonce the HC3 two times with the comment version 5.070.42-compartible.

 

If I start now the „Prepare Slave Config“ the HC3L is reset, and not into my network.

They need youre ip and forward port 80 and 22 to the homecenter ip

he is asking about HC3L as slave, not HC3! And that is not yet supported.

is there any update ? i am trying to add HC3L as slave and it says rebooting then it reset , when its reset it doesnt go back to the network and so i cant add is as a slave gateway ,,,

Hello Zeyad, this feature is not available yet. I believe it is to come in next BETA version (5.071).

Hello Nobby, you have to go to HC3L interface and prepare it for being a slave gateway along with recovery (you can find that option in "Connect gateways" tab of particular HC3L). 

 

Subsequently, go to HC3 interface and find HC3L on the list (alternatively put IP address manually) then click "configure" button enabling start of master - slave connection.

For me it still doesn't work...after preparing HC3L to be slave, it is still a master and "incompatible version".

Yes, this is right. Please remember to select Z-wave engine 2.0 after recovery on HC3L - it is necessary as master - slave do not work on Z-WAVE 3.0 engine. Please remember that HC3 and HC3L have to be in the same local network.

Hallo,

 

I think the right Information, in you can see both devices are compartible.
Do Not select configure, prepare the HC3L as Slave, reintegrate into the Same Network.

Than on Master HC3, do add New Ip (from HC3L), After that action there ist the Option to add the Slave device.

It seems things have move forward but not to my benefit. I upgraded one of my HC3 to Zwave engine 3.0 in order to make a fresh start with this new engine and then 1 by one migrate the devices without losing functionality. I bought also the HC3Lite to enlarge my ZWave range. However Engine 3.0 cannot be used with slave functionality

 

SO I decided to go another route and add the HC3Lite to the "old" HC3 which is still on Zwave engine 2.0. However now I run into another problem. The HC3 is running on software v 5.110.15 and my HC3Lite runs on v 5.070.57. I should run them on the same version but unfortunately the HC3Lite tells me the software is up to date!!

 

What a waste of time and money.
