Question
MrConstruction 1
Hi,
I have installed a Dimmer 2 with Bypass 2 on 5x 5w LED GU10 lights in a 2 Way toggle switch controlled manually by switch downstairs or upstairs.
The operation works as expected except for minimum dimming level.
Lights are LAP by Screwfix and are dimmable.
I have had these on a Varilight v pro dimmer switch and the lamps dim extremely well. You can set the switch to trailing edge and leading edge and they work brilliantly together without any buzzing from LED lamps or switch, only problem is they aren't smart which is why I added them to my Fibaro network.
I have tried all sorts of settings, removing from system and re-inclusion and calibration but for the life of me, I cannot get these to Dim as well as on a switch.
The Parameters value are:
1 - 1%
2 - 41%
5 - 1%
6 - 0.01s
7 - 1%
8- 0.05s
13 - 0 Readout
14 - Dimmer operates on auto calibration settings
20 - Toggle
30 - control mode selected automatically (based on auto-calibration)
31 - trailing edge
32 - Mode selected automatically
33 - Load recognized as dimmable
34 - short soft-start (0,1s)
When using the dimmer slider in the app, the settings report power usage as :-
1% = 2.3w
100% = 21.5w
When I set the dimmer to leading edge, they do dim much better but after some time the lights flicker after being on a while, or 1 or two bulbs go off while set to low power (which is around 45% at minimum slider, anything lower and they go off)
Any suggestions how I can improve the dimming level?
Thanks
