GPS tracking advanced

Hi All,

 

based on HC3L uses USB as power source, I'm planing to make a system in a car. Mostly monitoring, some remote control. 

 

I want to track the car with GPS position logging. The best can be to show the route on map.

 

What device can you recommend for this?

Any solution for that problem?

that's different thing, then you need only any GPS Tracker with kind of open API the get the data (the best will be system without any clod services) and send to your HC3L

Actually, even if not really necessary for HC3L itself, you will need kind of internet if you wish to use Fibaro/Yubii app. Of course you can use 3rd part app for that. Some WiFi of course as well.

If you use Fibaro/Yubii app to check positioning, you will get data from your own location, and when the HC moves with, you will never get data like "xx m from Home". So definitely to use Fibaro Tracking is not what you looking for. On the other hand i don't know any way to write the "user" location, to make use of that in scenes etc. (yes, one can add other locations, with GPS position, but that didn't make sense when you move the car all the time). 

That means, the GPS data need to get into a QA, which do the GPS visualization.

The idea is that: One customer has "cars" like on your picture, but more, more, more smaller and there you can rent these cars.

We install Fibaro system in it.

For internet connection we are planning LTE modem.

It can control some functions like light, heating, cooling, power on, head-lights, fuel level, and so on. And they want to see the position in the same system. 

 

The GPS tracker with open api sounds good.

So I need one with WiFi connection and without cloud functionality.

I think this is not a simple wish list. Today every little gadget use cloud....

 

Can someone recommend me GPS trackers like that?

think simple, there are lot of simple GPS modules, giving you the position in acsii format, and even with SIM card, local http, wifi ->
