Problem between HC2 and Home Energy Meter Gen5

Cris77

Question

Hello,

i have same problem that other person here.

I have HC2 4.620 and a Home Energy Meter Gen5 1.35 (EU version with 1 phase), i read the best is to update firmware with 1.4, but aeotec support don't answer me (to have this firmware) for the moment and i don't find it on their site.

Please login or register to see this attachment.

Actually, i add it to my zwave network, i see 2 module for each mesure with different information (i just have 1 phase!!!), and all are not configurate..

Please login or register to see this attachment.

could you help me please ?

Hi @Cris77 ,

I have older version v1.19 one phase Home energy meter. I also had problems with inclusion and it took several attempts to properly include. Had same not configured problem. My is also 1 phase, but after inclusion I still get one master device and devices for measuring power, voltage and current for 3 phases and one extra for overall measurements.

I hide all of this devices except the ones for the phase that is in use. My also has template and I managed to setup parameters so that it is sending mesurement to HC2 every minute without need to pull measurements with HC2.

I don't know if this new version has template when properly included with HC2, but if it doesn't that is not a big problem since it should be possible to add parameters manually. Parameters settings should be available in its user or installation manual.

  • Hi Sankotronic,

I understand that i must modify parameters manually, but i allready do it.

I buy this module because i just want the power consumption (W) in real time (as the fibaro plug but his limit is 3000W and i need more) on the dashborad (V and A are not really necessary for me on the dashboard, but it's not a real problem).

And i don't know who is the good device (not the same value)

Other problem with android application on my phone, i see V and A but not W:

Hi Chris, what the status now, one and a half year later? on my side I have included in z-wave with Jeedom with perfect results. in my HC2 I had identical behaviour as you’re with v1.37. one comment: I’ve read that the inclusion must be done in secure mode, which is what I did. after having a useful setup in Jeedom, I will try to include it back in hc2. maybe it will work.

and by the way, Aeotec still claims the full compatibility of the module with hc2 - support on their site.

    cheers
