Optimization in HC3

Hi guys,

We are a group trying to minimize electricity cost of a heatpump with given maximum and minimum temperature in house. We have managed to make a heating algorithm in python using optimization packages. Is there a way to implement a optimization package in HC3?

  • Ok, we want to minimize the cost of electricity used by a heatpump. As the electricity varies from hour to hour, we want to minimize :

sum(electrity used in hour * hour)   , where hour goes from 1 to 24

We know the electricity price for each hour of the day and how much electricity should be used to heat the house. The user can then choose how much the temperature in the house and the  in the water tank can vary. The result is a temperature output to the termostats in the house and temperature output of the water in the water tank, that minimizes the total cost of electricity.

So the parameters we can adjust are the temperature in the water tank (air to water heatpump) and the termostat setpoints.

    The optimization model is attached.
