FGBS-222 to operate solar pool heat

jasonp

Question

Good morning all,

I am looking to have 2 external temperature probes control an intermatic pe24a motorized valve. The valve is a 24vac .75amp. I have the temp sensors connected and reading properly. Is the FGBS-222 smart implant able to operate the valve motor natively back and forth or do i need to add something in between?

@jasonp

Hello,
The Smart Implant will not survive the connected load.
You can only connect a maximum of 150mA (ie 0.15A) to the SI output.
You need to amplify its outputs by inserting a relay.
Also focus on interlocking if the valve does not have it internally solved, for example, by limit switches.
