Getting informed about an external sensor event through API

Neo Andersson

Question

Hello all,

I am struggling with my rain sensor, which is connected to my irrigation system HUNTER.

I want to run a scene when the rain is started, so i have reached out to my Hunter sensor data through API.

I was able to read out the sensor status, but i dont know how to achieve my goal.

What is the proper approach to get some scene running when my sensor status has changed?

Should I set up a scene which will continuosly read sensor data all the day?

Is this the only way? Thanks a lot for any help.

Hi @Neo Andersson ,

I have made Hydrawise Control VD and I also plan to make QA. A big thanks goes to @Rozso2 who provided me link to his controller. Since his controller does not have any sensors that part is still to be done. Will contact you on PM to arrange upgrade.
