Hi,

My setup is a HC3 with a number of Fibaro Single and double switches to control lights and fans.  I also have Aeotec Multisensor 6 sensors in every room to monitor motion, temp, etc.

I also play in a rock band, and often when we are rehearsing, I find the house goes into alarm mode, and a large number of lights and fans (but not all of them), start flashing on and off!

This can be a problem especially for the fans as they will eventually burn out.

I don't have any alarm scenes set up in the HC3, and when this situation occurs, I can't see anything in the HC3 logs to understand what is going on.

I also don't know how to stop the situation.

I'm pretty sure this is due to a tamper alarm initiated from one or more of the Multisensors, due to vibrations.  I can simulate the event by 'tampering' or shaking one of the Aeotec multisensors.

So, I'd like to know :

  • does the tamper notification go via the controller, or directly to the other nodes on the z-wave network?
  • can I selectively disable the notification Command Class?  Would I do this on the sending device, or on the receivers?
  • How can I find logs or other information to see what is happening here?
  • How can I stop this alert mode!!!

thanks!
