Integration b.n Fibaro HCL3 and other Zigbee hubs

Georgi

Question

Hi guys,

I have done all my smart lighting using Fibaro z-wave modules and thus naturally managing them with HCL3 which all works fine.

Now I am looking at the option of introducing zigbee devices like smart plugs, door sensors, smart locks etc. I have just found that HCL3 does not support Zigbee so i am basically stuck with Z-wave devices which seems kind of limiting.

So my question is, do you think it is possible to do an integration b.n different hubs - example Smarthings or Aquara with HCL3 or I will just have to rely on the Alexa for handling them at a central place?

And anyone with experience with zigbee - can you advise on the hub ?

Regards,

Georgi

1) install z2m

2) create QA

3) now device(s) from Z2M in your HC3

lumi.weather QA attached

please change in code

local broker_ip = "192.168.1.44"
local zigbee_deviceId = "lumi.weather"

  • Thanks for the proposal but I think this will not work on Home Center Lite 3 ? At least based on specification there is no Zigbee module.

Your approach should work only on Home Center devices which are zigbee prepared.

Maybe I am wrong - I have not looked at the insides of the box :) Maybe there is a zigbee chip.

Have you tested this approach for Home Center Lite?
