QuickApp and VirtualDevice for beginner

Fly

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am completely new here, I read a lot of interesting information, but I often find the words:

- Quick App

- Virtual Device

I am not sure to understand what it is, and it is really missing a guide somewhere to explain what it is, and how to install it (for noob like me).

If it already exist, so sorry but I did not find it.

I understood that "quick app" is a kind of small application inside Fibaro ? Like a scene or a button you press and lot of things are done ?

For "Virtual Device", it acts like a device that you do not have, is it for the device which are external to the house ?

Very difficult to understand for newbie.
I am for the time being looking probably for a Quick App or Virtual Device which would allow me to select the color of my HUE without making multiple try with "HUE color" which is not displayed on the app.

I hope to understand first what are the Quick App and Virtual Device and maybe later on I will understand which one is the most suitable for me and making search with that keywords.

Thanks,

Fly
