What do I need to manually control the Dimmer 2?

Wigster

Question

I have a normal lamp (halogen) and a single toggle switch (Schneider Unica, but it is part of a pair of switches in a double frame). I would like to install a dimmer and be able to control it both from the room and through ZWave. How do I do this?

1) Replace the wall switch with a dimmer and add in a Fibaro Switch behind it. I can control the dimming physically, but only turn on/off over Zwave

2) Put in a Dimmer 2 behind the current switch: then I can control the dimming and on/off over ZWave, but only on/off physically

3) Fibaro Walli Dimmer, but it does not fit into the Schneider frames in my apartment, so it would stand out

4) ??

Is there some option I am missing? Something like a momentary switch? I cannot find such options in the Schneider Unica range.

Thanks.

What you want is a push button (momentary) switch, with a dimmer2 behind it. Tap for on-off, hold for dimming, double tap for full brightness.

You may need to consider a wall plate brand other than Schneider Unica in order to get the push button. In Australia at least, the wall plates are interchangeable between manufacturers.
