Humidity sensor for a gun safe

Bought a gun safe, will the z wave go throug the gun safe.

Home center 3 is 4 meters away from safe.

Thinking of buying a humidity sensor like the aërQ Multisensor and fibaro door sensor

Don’t you have something with z-wave laying auround, not fitted to something, just to test the signal?

I have only devices that need power cord.

I haven't got the safe yet but I see there is holes in the back so maybe if put a extender also just by the safe it could work ?

you can put the module out of the safe and run the probe through that back hole.

I have not found any humidity sensors with propes.

Do you have any examples.

That was my first thought also.

If you can not find a suitable zwave module . Could you perhaps think of a solution with an RPI.

Personally I couldn't live without my rpi

And I thought maybe there is a way to do an antenna mod to an existing sensor. Extend the antenna and then through the hole. When I googled it I came across the following. I don't think there is an immediate solution, but apparently you are not the only one with this idea

okay i got the safe and testing

if i place the aeotec device on the door it reached home senter (Våpenskap)

if i place it in the middle of the safe in the roof it disconnects

i placed also a range extender from aeotec into power plug 10 cm away from safe but i have to read more how set that up
