    @akatar,

    Know the problem, Have 2 older plugs with the same problem.

    I could disassemble them and took out the child protector. No little kids in my house anymore, and they are on a place where a plug is always connected.

    The recent WallPlugs a purchased didn't have this problem anymore.

    The best way is not to use force, some older models may have a problem after some time with this protection.

    Gently push the plug into the socket and maybe rattle it a bit.
    If those are still on guarantee RMA may be an option.

    If it is a known problem you should start a replacement procedure, so all effected plugs are being replaced!

    Sorry but every piece of our equipment is in guarantee - if something is wrong with it user can always RMA.
    If 3,4 or 6 years lasted and some of the mechanical parts wore in time (this is a mechanical part!) why do you expect that we will now get every piece and replace it?

    I hate it to repeat myself but:

    Because if the problem occurs from a certain batch then it's a known problem, that should be solved

    just like there is a batch of walli's with problems

    And ofcourse i do not expect anything from fibaro, that would be foolish

    I have never said that this is a problem with certain batch - misunderstanding I think.
    I have some of them myself and in 1 or 2 really old ones (zw300) protection works "too good" - those pieces are 5-6 years old.

    I think the best course of action is to contact support and ask for service, maybe it won't be fully free of charge but something should be possible.

    Gen5 devices have their unique serial numbers - we will be able to check how old they are and from what batch.
