Single Switch 2 - installation

john1312143

Question

Hello, i am little bit stuck with installation of my single switch, i have three switches that control one outdoor lighting.

It works with two switches for example on switch one i can manually turn on light and turn off with app, or turn off/on with second switch, however third switch didn't work well.

Please see attached picture of default wiring that everything works (without fibaro switch)- turn off/ on on first then turn off/on on second or third switch.

I find out that brown wire (with black tape on end) is L , it has always power, and black and green wire change power base on if second or third switch are turned on/off.

Thanks for your help.

I suggest you make a diagram of the way your wiring and switches are connected, that might help you (or someone here) to solve this.  I assume you have toggle switches??

Having 3 toggle switches connected together is standard for non smart wiring (this is also known as stair or hall switching), and should also work here.  Note the middle switch is an "intermediate" type, with 4 wires.  However if the run is quite long, this can interrupt the circuit from working properly.
