I’m having a problem with my fibaro homekit switches: activating the switch manually (by pressing the light switch) does activate the light that is directly connected to it, but it does not trigger the homekit automation (that should activate a few other lights in the room). Strangely, activating the switch through the Home app DOES trigger the automation. So, somehow something goes wrong when doing it manually. This started happening a few weeks ago after functioning properly for a long time. Any suggestions?

Where did you define the automation? In Apple's Home App or in the Fibaro App. It might make a difference.

The automation is done in the Home app. And it worked fine for a very long time. Today it is still not functioning.

I‘m having the exact same problem. Automations are only triggerd when activating the switch in Apple Home App.

Pressing the wall switch does not trigger the automation. I think the main cause of this problem is, that when pressing the wall switch the state of the switch isn‘t changing in the Home App.

Have you found a solution to this problem?

First, ensure all devices, including your HomeKit hub, are updated. Try deleting and recreating the automations in the Home app, and restart your hub and switches. Check your network connectivity as well.

    I tried everything. Nothing changed.

Main problem is still persistent: The state in the apple home app isn‘t changing when pressing the wall switch.

    Therefore no automation is triggered.
