Scene to monitor boiler use, ideas needed on how store the data.

Question

Posted

I have two thermostats which control my boiler, i would like to make a small scene which monitors the amount of time that the boiler is on per day.

can anyone give me some idea on how you would keep this data?

at the moment i have the thermostat on a scene trigger which tells me if they are in heat mode or on idle. which tells me if the boiler is on or off.

I was thinking of maybe storing it in a table and at the end of each day to sum up the time the boiler was on and store that as its own table. or maybe better would be to write it to mysql database? any ideas would be welcome.

Hi Jay Ess,

You can also use internal build-in Fibaro Virtual Device (Quick App, QA) Power sensor. This one of not more QA which have chart to trace value of deivces in time. In your case you will able to try change unit of device and once per day register total time of working boiler per day. Thanks of using this device you will able to have this data in Fibaro and also will able to monitoring working of Boiler per day in time.

For changing unit you shuould use following setting in onInit

self:updateProperty("unit""sec")
