The damn thing keeps disconecting ;/

Question

Posted

I've been putting a multi sensor into use for weeks now. Can't seem to get that thing stable. As simple as it should be, it doesn't work.

One time it stays connected for a week, the next time the connection is gone a day later. Just a little while and I'll swing that nice ball over the hedge :P But maybe I'm doing something wrong, and do you have a good tip? I have set the wake-up time to 4000s, only set parameters 40 and 42 different. The rest is standard.

    This is not urgent :)

Or at least, not for now. And i think Mr Roszak is on it also...

So, if they need the logs, i will provide.

Yesterday i did the 5.092.19 update. So far so good.

Today, the connection with the sensor was lost, and the zwave -> smart start -> firmware upgrade tabs, crashed.

Or, i think it crashed the whole zwave 3 service/protocol. After a reboot it all worked again.

Then,  i performed the device update for the sensor, from 3.3 to 3.4

This went oke..or at least, the version number stays on 3.3 after a succesfull update.

    @m.roszak

I'm not sure now if the update went through. The option to update is gone. And the version is still 3.3

    Well.......one day later..disconnected

    - zwave protocol error

    - 502 gateway error

    And it's reconnected.

I must be doiing something wrong :) I dont see any other user having this problem

having  the zwave engine crash on their system. Or am i wrong ?

Not sure why, not sure how. But the damn thing keeps connected :)

We have changes some things in backend for ZW3.0 in 5.100 - maybe that is why.
As we did not reproduce this one it is a mystery :)

hijacking topic a bit, but indeed that helped in my case with 3rd part sensor (700 series based) disconnecting all the time, on HC3 with zw3. Since 5.100 no issues since 7 days.
