Wallplug and washing machine

FamSetsaas

Question

Dear experts,

I was wondering if I can use a wall plug with a washing machine/dryer/dishwasher etc, to monitor power consumption and alert when the machine is done.

My question is whether these machines consume more power than the wall plug can handle?

According to the doc, it should be able to handle 11A continuous load (which should be sufficient), but there are some notes on 2.5A and also something about resistive load not exceeding 3A where cos=0.4.

It's been too long since I had this in school to remember it, so any clarifications would be helpful.

Thank you.

I had a Fibaro wall plug for my washing machine and a  Quibino plug, later replaced by a Fibaro, for my dryer.

A Fibaro Wall Plug can switch 2500 Watt up to temporarily 3000 Watt. I wouldn’t take the risk switching 2900 watt, but that is up to you. But I wouldn’t advise others to switch greater wattage than the manual advices.
