Heat Controller - Removal of external sensor

Question

I wanted to remove the external sensor on one of my heat controllers.

I did as described in the manual - I pressed the button for 2 seconds and LED blinked three times. Now, the heat controller still shows an connected external sensor.

I repeated the removal by pressing the button again and again (always with LED blinking) - Still shows a connected sensor, though.

I remove the battery form the sensor - Still the same problem.

I removed finally the sensor - together with the heat controller - actually I removed all other heat controllers as well - I'm just fed up with the low-performance of those heat controllers.

I'm going to remove all Fibaro devices from my smart home.
