Cannot get Walli Switch to Turn on Lights

Question

Posted (edited)

Hello,

Could someone explain to me why the attached doesn't work?

When I meter the terminals both L and N read 238 volts, however when I meter L and Q1 (when Q1 is activated) it reads millivolts.

I have this issue on three Walli Switches (two in the wall already and this one I am using for a test mule to figure out why this won't work).

I've also drawn my wiring diagram in Paint as well.

Help?

    To answer your questions:

    1. Yes, I can add and remove the switches from the zwave network without a problem.

    2. Yes, when I hit either Q1 or Q2 button on the switch I can hear the relays clicking

    3. Yes, I can activate the switch and it will click via the Smartthings app.

So when I hook up a light to Q1 and N not only does the test light come on but also the exterior lights as well.

So when I get my test light and connect it from N and Q1 the test light illuminates as do my light bulbs outside.  E.g. me connecting the test light functions as the switch, turning the lights outside on.
