My sensor outside quickly uses its battery

 

any hints from others on what settings are important regarding battery?

I also noticed that the batteries do not last too long when the sensor is placed in a room that is used for a long time by home users.
I am thinking of replacing with batteries such as:

Had you had a look here.

This is a nice DIY solutions for this kind of power need. ( if possible on the location )
