How to schedule dimmer at 20% and temp go up to 80% when pir is breached...?

Question

Posted

Hi all,
Hope you can help me with this one.

Have a HC2 and now rather familiar making scenes with blocks. I can't think of a way how to make a scene for my outdoor lights.
What I would like is:
Schedule the dimmer:

Off during the day

40% in the evening (after sunset)

20% at night (after 12)
-

on top of that I'd like the lights to temporarily burn brighter when visitors arrive so:

80% when pir (motion sensor) is breached

2 minutes after end of breach the scene should go back to the schedule above. Preferably on a very slow path (2 minutes?) from breach value to schedule value.. :)
-

I hope you can help me with this. I couldn't think of a way how to do the temp thing on top of a schedule. I see problems around the scheduled switch times when the pir is breached. Unfortunately it is not a schedule like with a heating panel but a list of scenes to switch the dimmer on/off/value at certain times. I don't get why this is the way to control a lamp... is there a normal timer (like heating panel) for HC2? Am I missing something? :)

Looking forward to hear from you.
Cheers!

To accomplish that you'll need many block scenes...

May I suggest take a look on

, no LUA knowledge required and just with few lines you can do what you need.

Let me know if you have decided to try  it and I will help you to start..

Thanks for your kind message. I will look into that. At first sight it looks complicated but maybe I should install and play with it a bit?
I don't really understand Fibaro as I would expect this to be rather basic wishes switching a lamp.. ?
    :)

I'm already lost... Downloaded all the files from the DL page but no idea how to upload this into the HC2. Do I copy the txt file and paste that into a new scene? There a "timedrift" txt file too. Is there a setup page for dummies? ;-)

I tend to agree, but it's actually a bit complicated involving several steps in the logic.

I believe though that Fibaro could have a more powerful "block system" and offer ready made recipes for typical tasks (some better version of the magical scenes). A large set of these "recipes" would make life easier for home automaters.

Now we can code in Lua in Scenes and QAs to do whatever but it's far from everyones skillset - and normal users can typically come up with more everyday recipes...

The in-between solution is to use something like AOS.

    Another framework,

Hi, many thanks for your answers. It looks like this is not just something simple to do (to me). I understand that I first need to install something like Eventrunner3 or AllInOneScene and then when I got that running it could be programmed rather easy. At this point if fear that when I have figured out where and how to install these (??) then I need to customize these to my setup, correct? I already have a number of scenes running, can this run in parallel or better to switch and start from scratch using EventRunner3?
As you can see, I'm a bit lost here. Looking for a solution that doesn't require lots of study or time. ;)

    Kind regards!
