Fibaro Heat Controler should be overruled by the Fibaro Door/Window Sensor 2

Question

Posted

Folks I am trying to tell my Heat Controler when I open my door to the garden my Door/Window sensor is indicating that I switch off my Heat Control.

Hear Control has a schedule so it does run with different temperature profiles as this heating controller is for my office which I do not heat during the weekend. Well, I just reduce the temperature to 18 Centigrade.

Well, that schedule is working great and I always find a well-heated office during the week.

Now I started playing with a Scene "Door open stop heating" and "Door closed go back to schedule". I am working with the "set the thermostat mode" and with the stop heating scene I set it off. Actually, I wanna reduce the temperature to 12 Centigrade not stop it. But with the temperature, I do have the issue when using "Set heat override" that I do not know the duration. Let's try to use 12h as I also want to stop heating during autumn or spring when the door is open but the schedule is telling to hear for 22 Centigrade. Now the question is what to choose for the "Start heating" when the door got closed. Actually, I wanna go back to the scheduled temperature. is the "Remove override schedule" enough for this scene or shall I work with "thermostat mode " off/on?

Hi. I have a similar setup with Sensative Guard door/window sensors. For each room, I have a scene that sets the Heat Controller to "Off" when the window is opened, and to "Remove Override Schedule" when the window is closed again. It works very well.
Of course, if you had manually changed the temperature on the heat controller knob before you opened the window, the set temperature will return to the scheduled temperature of the Climate panel, not to the manually changed temperature.

For the duration setting, I choose a number of hours that will not be reached, so e.g. 12 or 14 hours.

When the window is closed:

I was through that... and I don't know how to control all correctly. When I was using suggested above solutions with setting CLimate control mode with scene, it worked "almost". Because it has 1 issue, example:
- somebody opens Windows
- scene sets climate control device to off from cooling/auto
Timer build into Climate control device kicks in (still with open window), and it changes climate control back from off to cooling/auto
- Air conditioning works with opened window ...

Anyone knows how to avoid such behavior?
