Energy meter dash display value

Currently energy meters devices display total consumed energy kWh. Normally this is useless big value for most users.

Is there any way to make it show for example energy used today/week/month instead ?

(Is it possible to alter display text in quickapp ?)

I meant display value of:

( want to display today value here -  todays power production, instead of total of all years)

What QuickApp are you talking about?

It would be nice if changing display value(to total/today/week/year) is possible for any energy meters ...

But in my case i coded quickapp energy meter for Kaco Powador solar inverter.

I just thought if there is any option in quickapp to set display value different than property "value" value,

then i can set my own todays kWh value there.

Well, it is a QuickApp. You can do whatever you want it to do, make as much child devices as you need.

How child device helps here ?

I want to display another value than "91693.46 kWh" in dash. 

This is total solar energy i have produced in years, but i want to display Todays production instead of it.

Ok, i see now, it took some time to appear in UI.

I don’t know if I understand you. You have build a QuickApp to get energy production from your Kaco Powador solar inverter. You now show the total energy production in your QuickApp device and you want to show todays energy production?
