How to highlight a Fibaro Wall Plug FGWP 102 with Z-Wave PC Controller

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I have plenty of Fibaro Wall Plugs in my house, controlled from a RPI with OpenHab and a Sigma Z-Waver Controller UZB3.

I would like an easy way to "identify" the Fibaro Wall Plug corresponding to a specific node on my Controller...

I.e.: if I select the "node 003" on my Controller, using for example a software like the "Zwave PC Controler 5" of Aeotec, I would like to see the corresponding Fibaro Wall Plug blinking

I can switch it on and off easily, but I would really like to find how to make it blink instead.

I have been googling for a while on how to do that (with a dedicated software, sending specific signal ?)... but without success, most probably because I don't use the right keywords (I am quite a newbie regarding ZWave programming)...

The reason is... I have reinstalled OpenHab and see now all my Fibaro Wall Plugs as "Node xxx"...

Unfortunatelly, I have no idea which one they are and I don't want to switch them on/off to know.

Indeed, I would have to be in front of them to see that they go off/on.

But it means I would have to switch them on/off a couple of time (to be in front on the right one when I do the test).

And this is not good for the devices plugged on them (NAS, Router, PC, Modem, Boiler, Pump...) :(

Any help would be really appreciated !!

    I got it !

It's just a matter of reading properly the documentation once we know where to put the values within PC Controller :D

    grafik

So, as illustrated bellow, I simply had to:

    • Use the Command "CONFIGURATION_SET" from the "COMMAND_CLASS_CONFIGURATION" (and not the command SWITCH_COLOR_SET !!)
    • Use the parameter 41 as per the documentation, to set the color when the Wall Plug is off (or 42 when it's off)
    • Set the size = 1
    • Set the Configuration Value on the desired color, as per the documentation
