Fibaro wall plug reset fails

Question

Posted

Hi,

I am trying to reset my Fibaro wall plug type F, because I want to add them to a new controller.

I wait until the ring turns yellow and click the button again but it doesn't turn red and also doesn't reboot. It turns white and nothing seems to happen. Two out of eight wall plugs I have, have this problem.

Is there another way to reset them? I don't have my old controller anymore.

I managed to reset them both via the following sequence:

    - Hold B until ring flashes yellow. Release B and press for 3 seconds.

    - Wall plug turns off

    - Hold B until ring flashes yellow. Release B and press shortly (like the normal reset)

    - Now the wall plug turn red eventually and is reset.

Both wall plugs had the "Always on function" set to active. Perhaps that has something to do with it.

You do not need to do a factory reset on them. That method can be good if you have problems with the devices.
Use your HC? and exclude the devices from there (Remove Device).
