Starting scene using Keypad with Smart Implant

Friso

Question

Hello Everyone,

I've just started using the HC3 for a week. So far I'm doing quite well. However, I've stumbled into something I can't quite explain. I really think I'm overlooking something silly, so if anyone could give me a hint in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

I'm trying to get a keypad/RFID reader with a smart implant to work. Connecting the smart implant was easy. It shows itself as 11 different devices, of which 99.5 and 99.6 are the relevant ones, as can be seen in the first screenshot. They present themselves as buttons, but in fact they represent the "home" and "away" signals the keypad sends when either a correct PIN is entered (or RFID tag is presented) for the "home" signal and when a special button is pressed for the "away" signal.

This all works fine. When I press the "away" button on the keypad or when I present an RFID tag both buttons seem to be functioning OK. In the second screenshot the event of pressing the "away" button on the keypad can be seen. The switch is turned on and one second later, turned off, as shown in the history log.

To test this, I've created a very simple scene. When I press the "away" button on the keypad, a light should be toggled. However, when I press the button, nothing happens.

I've tried several other options, for instance using the "breached" value of 99.2, but nothing happens.

I'm clearly overlooking something very simple.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Friso,

What happens when you release button? Does the sensor (INPUT) get to status not breached and smart implant output to state turned Off?

  • That is exactly what happens. When I press the button and hold, the input state stays on breached and smart implant output stays on ON. As you can see in the example below, I pressed the Away button and held for 8 seconds:
