Timer for external lights (TurnOn else TurnOff)

Question

Posted (edited)

Hi everyone, I'm new to Yubii and LUA language.

I would just like to turn on a light in a time frame and turn it off outside the time frame.

what am I doing wrong?

PS: I added a Variable because I was unable to set the time intervals as "isTrigger = true". Maybe I'm wrong.

Why make it so difficult? You could do this quick and easy with 2 scenes. One switching on the lights at a time (the beginning of the time frame) and one scene starting at a time (the end of the time frame) to switch off the lights.

Hello and thanks for your comment.
I don't like doing complicated things but it seems very strange to me that I have to use two scenes instead of being able to give an else_if.
Besides, if I use block scenes, it doesn't allow me to trigger on hourly intervals.

I used Block scene to turn on/off outdoor light.

    I made a variable 0=Day and 1=night.

The variable start my scene "night" when sunset, and turn off light at sunrise.

I use night/Day variable to other scenes, so to to it easy for me I made a scene of this variable.

    This work perfect for me.
