HC2 local time change messed up connection to Fibaro Cloud and the Internet

Question

Posted (edited)

Hi,

I recently noticed that local time was delayed by 8 min to the state central time. In order to correct that, I changed time setting to manual and corrected the minutes. But I did not notice, that in manual time change the available year setting ends on 2021. So now HC2 has a year delay. And this messed up with local TSL certificate and resulted in lost capability to access the Internet (local communication is not affected). So, even when I reverted back to NTP, HC2 is still not able to connect anywhere on the net, due to messed up local time...

Any idea how to proceed with this issue?

I did not attempt recovery, since I am not sure this will do anything good for the local timer.

I also submitted the issue to Fibaro through official webpage - waiting...

Regards,

Piotr

I came out with the solution and described it here:

The lesson learned from this exercise - if your date (year) is not correct, you will lose access to Fibaro Cloud and, of course, the whole Internet (including NTP).
