call your quickapp function with something like

a, b, c = self:quickappfunction()

and in the end of your quickapp function end with

function QuickApp:quickappfunction()

  a=1+1

  b=2*2

  c=3+5

  return a, b, c

end

    in a qa do you set all functions as function QuickApp:name()

    or only when you want to reference it from outside the qa?

    yes as function QuickApp:name()

    I want to keep it simple ?

    But it is better to use local functions if possible.
