Hi!

Has this option been removed?

I need to update the firmware on my Heat-IT Z-Water unit. I have the new firmware file and in 5.071 there seems to be an option to upload a file.

I cannot find such an option on my HC3.

ASFAIK, there is no option on the HC to update firmware of a non Fibaro device, on a Zwave 2 system.

You have to exclude the device and use another way to update your device.

maybe later on the Zwave 3 system that it would be possible?

Maybe @tinman can give a solution about this matter.

the above link is how to to it on hc3 firmware 5.0.71.

yes these pics are from HC3x with zw3 engine.

Update can be done from any other zwave controller, so take any zwave plus usb stick, include it to your HC3 (as device), then use PC Controller to update your Heatit. Afaik Z-Water should not lose homeid etc. setting during OTA. After update you can exclude that stick and reconfigure (soft) Z-Water.

I was too impatient. Factory reset the HC3 and updated to ZW3 engine.

Tried to upload firmware and got to 90% and then it said update failed...

btw, I really appreciate the fast replies! :)
