New Marketplace Fibaro (status)

Recommended Posts

A new Fibaro Marketplace is coming soon. The present Marketplace is missing some major features, with the consequence new QuickApps or VD's and other material are waiting on reviews for far too long, weeks or longer. QuickApps, VD's etc don't get to the users who need them. And not many people are willing to upload material to the present Marketplace. Promises to look at the current review proces to speed up the review times, didn't paid off.

The new Marketplace would solve the long review times with new functionality and a better proces. And perhaps some of the features discussed on this forum earlier: the possibility to hide source-code or even make it possible for paid QuickApps, VD's, etc. That would give the (Fibaro) Home Automation community a boost.

Is there any news on the status of the new Marketplace :?:

(Because I have criticism on the present Marketplace (more than written above), I realise Fibaro can also ask for a bit of help. So, if any help is needed for thoughts about functionality, testing, etc. I will help.)

    the possibility to hide source-code

In the latest beta (5.113) the encryption of quickapps is introduced. That is a first stap for developers who want there source code protected. I hope now more quickapps will become available, users still share their sourcecode to help others and a new Marketplace will also be introduced real soon.
