Dimmer 2 wiring to dimmable MR16 LED halogen (12v)

Andhika

Question

Hi

I’m very confuse at the moment.

So i’m about to renovate and change all my bulb to dimmable led.

my original bulb is using non dimmable LED MR16 and using electronic transformer like this

Since i want to make all lights dimmable i have to change the bulb to dimmable MR16 (12v) like this

Please login or register to see this link.

Now my super noob question is :

1. How the wirring done with dimmer 2 ?

2. What components i will need ? (beside dimmer 2 and the bulb of course)

2. Do i need any led controller or dimmable transformer ? Can the bulb (12v) wired directly to dimmer 2 ?

3. I read the manual for Fibaro RGBW CONTROLLER 2, it says that i can use RGBW 2 for this purpose also (using 12v power supply and then the bulb wired directly to RGBW controller). What the pros and cons using dimmer 2 vs RGBW 2 in my situation ?

thank you

Hi @Andhika, I'd suggest you have a chat with your Fibaro dealer about your situation. Given your questions you should ask them to do the wiring as well.
