[SOLVED]Heat-it Z-TRM3 thermostat setpoint can't be updated from Home Center

The temperature setpoint of the Heat-It Z-TRM3 thermostat can't be update from the Home Center 3 ZW3 engine.

When you change the setpoint and push set, set will grey out that it is set but the setpoint doesn't change.

The manual delay that is set will start counting.

Also the climate channel will not update the setpoint.

Only when you change the setpoint on the display of the device the setpoint changes and shows the correct setpoint in the Home Center interface.

I think this was also a bug in the ZW2 engine and was fixed a couple of updates back!

It is a bug in the Z-TRM3 firmware. Try setting a .5 value. That works.

I found a new Z-TRM3 firmware on a different forum that solves it.

You seem to be correct!
Have had this problem with my climate panel that would not update temp since installing Z-TRM3.

Now I changed every hour in climate panel to .5, opened every thermostat and hit "return", and it changed the value in the thermostat matching the climate panel.
It also worked as it should be when it steped over to the next part of the day, but there still something weird with some of the thermostats that are not updating. Must investigate that some more...

Where did you find the firmware, so I could try an update?
I have version 4.2, so I thought that was the latest one?

Even had HeatIT support looking into this, and they only pointed to Fibaro beta version and Z3. Did not mention anything .5 issue...

I'm in the middle of investigating this myself. I have gotten a new firmware from HeatIT themselves and I have the one from the forum. My thermostats are working fine in ZW3 engine now. My Z-Water controller does not report valve status correctly though. My last issue in ZW3 engine.

I will be testing more this weekend. I also have a new version of the Z-Water firmware that adds the ability to use Normally Open valves. (Invert output). This works great.

To update the units you need to download Z-Wave PC Controller 5 from Silabs and do a manual update. Worked fine on both Z-TRM3 and Z-Water.

HC3 ZW3 upload firmware feature did not work.

Just tested it and yes with .5 setpoints it works. With the interface but also with the climate schedule.

If you can share the other firmware version that would be great. Will also communicate this back to HeatIt. They should be able to deliver the firmware.

I'm also interesting in your finding with the Z-water. I have it here but not installed yet (not enough time).

I encountered a different problem that when I set a manual override of the schedule with the Home Center web interface and then cancel (go back to schedule) with my phone. It’s not properly set to schedule again. On the phone (iPhone) it shows it's in schedule mode but in the web interface you will still see the Manual counter counting down and the setpoint is not set back yet. If you push "Return" in the web interface it is going back to it's schedule.

This is the same for the HeatIt thermostat as for the virtual thermostat that I temporary made from a motion sensor and wall plug.

Hello, how can I integrate it into the "climate" panel? To work autonomously according to daytime? As much as I try, I can't get it, thank you.

Go to climate tab, klick "Add Zone" and select the thermostats that you wan't to have linked to your climate zone:

Vaya a la pestaña de clima, haga clic en "Agregar zona" y seleccione los termostatos que no desea vincular a su zona climática:

@10i- Does your climate panel still work up against z-trm3?
I still can set x.5 value, but it does not want to follow my climate panel setup.

Yes if I set x.5 values in the climate panel it follows the climate panel.
At the moment I’m busy with updating the firmware.
Also that is not as easy as it sound. It fails Al the time by sending the packages.

Successful updated the firmware of the Z-TRM3.

First tried to update the module with a Z-wave stick but without excluding it form the HC3 but then the update failed all the time after a few packages.

After excluding it and including into the Z-Wave stick able to update the firmware.

With this firmware it is possible to set all setpoints.
