Cannt get update from our Eurotronics spirit z-wave thermostats...

Since the latest updates, I cannt force any more the Fibaro system to get the latetst temperatures. Formerly, we could force the system to get in touch with each thermostat and get an instant update. This option is not available anymore frrom the "Advanced" tab on the "device" menu. Why has this option been eliminated ? Also, it is just like the FIBARO system is not polling any longer these devices. What and why has this been changed?

Also things such as battery status are not updated any longer: the system shows an "empty" battery altough fresh batteries has been installed.

Anybody any ideas on this ?

Those are FLiRS devices (frequently listening sleeping slaves).
Polling was available here by mistake and this was removed - forcing communication with FLiRS devices stresses a lot the network and have very big impact on battery drain.

Devices should report the temperature automatically in periods or with specific threshold.
Make sure that associations are properly configured (Lifeline group configured to controller).

Device should send unsolicited reports with temperature according to parameter 5, you can alter its settings if you want (default threshold is 0.5*C):

Thank you for your answer. I can understand that a general polling is not supported (any longer).

Our parameter 5 is even set to 0.1°C but there is no temperature sent to the central Fibaro Controller. The thermostats do respond to commands such as temperature setting however, as they should do. Strange.

Even when general polling is not supported, why can not ask this "ad hoc" as it was before? "On command" thus such as: please send me your latetst temperature NOW...

    Have you checked the associations?

Global polling generally requests all the data from the device, there is no such possibility to ask only one thing (on Z-Wave 2.0, in new engine 3.0 it is possible).
We are not planning to implement such a feature for old engine.

Hi, do we have to choose somewhere between the 2.0 and 3.0 engine somewhere in the product. I just purchased the product some months ago, so I tought I would work with the latest version, no?

At first configuration, it is possible to choose if you like to try new 3.0 engine.
Old one is selected by default.
