A type for device with different modes

RassK

Question

Hi,

My ventilation unit has different modes, eg: home, away, intensive, boost. What type or interface I would need to use, to make it possible to switch from HC3 UI / Yubii app / Block scene?

Currently building it for myself, but in general a normal user (non developer) with HC3 should be able to use it. Just upload the fqa and all is setup.

How do you plan to control your AC? Is it via Modbus, IR, HTTP, Intesis or something else? Quick Apps can be set-up for different modes by changing following line in init.

but 'supportedThermostatModes' is specific for thermostat QA type?

I would suggest looking into the new QA multiPositionSwitch type if your device has a fixed number of states.

Currently Komfovent R400V is the unit. Integrated via Modbus TCP/IP

It actually has no AC and heating capabilities are fixed (due the device uses pure electricity to heat the air, main heating is water floor heating).

I'm using supportedThermostatModes for my Sauna heater. The UI has more capabilities than I would need, due no need to control temperature.

Thanks, I'll check out. This sounds more like what I would need.

  • Fixed, com.fibaro.multiPositionSwitch was exactly that one! Thank you!
