A few users contacted me, because the previous version of this post in some way upset them, for various reasons. I consider them my friends and have prepared a better one...

Beta (and Alpha) testers sign an NDA and are only allowed to talk about a new product or feature when fibaro says so. This is usually after the product gets an official release (and goes on sale). I have been a beta tester of eg "Dimmer 2" aka FGD-212 and "The Button". In each case, the final product sold was not 100% identical to the one I got for testing. So it makes sense not to talk too much about a beta product. A last minute change caused by beta testing was an improved reset procedure on the Fibaro D/W sensor second generation. Both another user and I independently discovered the sensor was still too easy to accidentally reset, something that happens quite often on the first generation D/W sensor. So there was a last minute change in reset procedure.

So, if I am a beta/alpha tester of the HC3 firmware, then I am not allowed to talk about it. And if I am not a tester, well, then obviously I do not have anything to say about it either!

It's not a secret that Fibaro finally is working on Zigbee. There is a new API page that reveals it:

Also on one of FB groups was "leak" about graphic that shows new button to add Zigbee device:

Well, we will know more when beta arrives.

Also I would not jump high when Zigbee arrives. I do not think that general Zigbee devices could be connected from get go. Probably only some devices from start could be connected till major bugs are solved, like with everything.

April 1st is coming soon, so let me think loud : since Fibaro only has one PC for firmware development, and they're currently building updates for HC2, they can't do betas for HC3 ?
