switch off light if curtain open and light level is above x

Question

Posted

Hi

SETUP: HC3 6 bedrooms with curtains on zwave controllers which open at different times. 1 Light level controller for measuring outside light level. each room has a light on zwave too. 1 QA which controls which curtain should open at set times. upon update of the qa it sets a hometable stored in a global variable with the curtain controller id.

I want to switch off the light if the curtains are open and the light level is above 500 and if it is below 500 then switch on light.

Does anyone have a simple way of setting this up to work.

I was thinking of maybe have a variable with a list of curtain controllers and with coresponding light controllers, but if i change a conroller id it will become messy. i have a manual home table with a list of all modules so that might be useful in making maybe a reverse lookup table?

Any ideas would be greatly apprieceted.

Many thanks.
