What do you think about the mobile Yubii app ?

Just want to know how pleased you are with the Yubii app.

For me it's not working like it should be.

 

- A lot of wrong icons.

 

- State of switches, sensors.....do not update ? I need to restart the app.

   Even then i see buttons, switches, sensors who are last updated 2 or 3 weeks ago.

 

- Buttons created by quickapps are so slow or just don't work.

   When a button is pressed you should see it's pressed state and released state but they don't do that

   Not implemented i guess....

 

- Something i've been asking for 10 years.......if an alarm occurs why don't we get notified by an alarmsound ?

  Is that so difficult to implement ?

 

There is even more i can't remenber right now.

 

Am i the only one with those problems ? Don't believe that.

 

The old app was sooooo much better !!

I would 2nd to that. However I think it is also what scope Apple and Android allows developers to do for using alarm type notification I guess.

I think that really depends on used Quick App. My Modbus Systemair Quick App seems ok, Zehnder Quick Apps (relay or 0-10V control) too and my boiler control Quick App also runs smooth.

 

Overall I think app is very good right now and I miss "adding Rooms and Sections" and "Black and Copper theme" (Dark mode of HC3 UI) in YUBII App. I'm not saying Dark Blue is bad, but color scheme would be 1:1 (BUI vs App).

I noticed that when a switch is turned on or off by a scene the time the status changed is not updated but manually it's updated.
Can you verify that please ?

Don't think so, there are thousands of apps who warn by a sound.

I use pushover now and that works like a charm...

Even with custom sounds !!

I use a very simple  quickapp with a couple of lines of code but it's not smooth.......

The app has potential but for now it's not good enough, especially the buttons from a quickapp is a disaster.

well well .. i know that nobody at Fibaro is using the Yubii app, together with Fibaro / NICE RGBW(2) modules, but unfortunately there are at least 20000 customers using it ... so yeah, i and all these customers wish we could control warm white over Yubii App.

 

This is f##### basic operation, to support own f### modules, i don't speak about zigbee or QuickApps ... or separate sliders for CC or WW for Color Controllers, i speak about what should be implemented since 3+ yrs, what (let me think a bit ... exploding ) Fibaro promised us 14 months ago to fix it "asap".

In the "old" app the virtual devices (buttons etc.) worked like a charm.

asap = as soon as prioritize

Some other problems:

- on bigger installations Yubii app is slow as a snail - 3-4 seconds to be able to do something even on local connection

- can not trigger blinds on sections, same for lights and anything else.

- sprinklers do not show in the app

- no search button - it would make life much easier to have a search button instead of trying to remember where the hell is a device when you have 100+

- android widgets work only when they want, not when you need them - and you can not include any device in the widgets, it is very very very limited

- no rtsp / h264 / h265 video cam support

- many more.

 

As a side note but very important:

I think FIBARO needs to understand / acknowledge the fact that in 2022 the APP is one of the most important things for end users.  This should be top priority imo !

The people that like to tinker, the ones that know their way around open source software can manage to live without the Yubii App . The rest are doomed.

Also:

- Allow us to select manual mode (hold) or vacation for temperature zones in the app

- Why is not possible to see the notifications and push messages in the app like in the old app? Please bring those back

- please bring back the possibilty to turn all lights on or off in a room by swiping up or down on the room icon / open or close the blinds by swiping left or right.

- The profile icon has moved to the top left, but now the name of the profile has disappeared. I like it better as part of the home summary with the profile name shown

- Please automatically hide categories with 0 devices

- Please allow us to arrange the scenes, or sort them.

I am writing this post a 2nd time, as the first post seems to have gone "missing".

 

I wouldn't be surprised if all of the other issues that have been reported on the Fibaro RGBW2 device are never fixed and Fibaro/Nice just release a RGBW 3 module instead.

It has been years since I posted a plethora of issues on the RGBW 2 module (and still no firmware update!):

 

 

What's more, give the time between detecting problems and them never getting fixed, I'd expect if a firmware update is ever released it would resolve unimportant issues and probably create new ones.

This is my main issue with the app actually! Many of my clients complain about how jumping into a quick app feels like a lower quality/less responsive interface all of a sudden (in addition to the slight loading time)

 

The Intesis developed .fqa is the one i implement the most for my clients to control their AC and what happens is you kind of have to wait and debate whether you have actually made a successful click until the temp is changed and reflected properly 

 

I wish there was a solid interface such as the “Heating Zone”

Hi Yubii/Fibaro
I have been a long time user of Fibaro HC2 and whilst I looked forward to the Fibaro app for IOS being updated, in the end we all had to move to the Yubii app and we are now on v1.16 and whilst your web page shows smooth operation and everything looks wonderful of your automation products.

 

I like a large number of other users are all suffering ongoing issues wit the Yubii app which is well documented in the Fibaro forums where users are voicing their displeasure with the app's current shortfalls and the lack of responses by Yubii/Fibaro to the users who have taken the time to post the issues with the current version to the forum.

 

Does Yubii have a roadmap to address all the current issues that have been posted in the forums so that app will operate as what we expect it to do and is demonstrated on the web site.

Yubii app is still crap.

Give us back the old version !!!!!!!!!

I am pretty sure that lots changed in App in last 6 months... and new way of controlling lights and color controllers in underway and will be available soon.
