Keypad + triggering scenes

Question

Posted

Hello,

I just got the PSK01 keypad from Philio.

I can make block scenes and use any "key" as a trigger. i.e. when you press 1 or hold 1 or press 3 etc...

If I want to use a pincode as a trigger, I have to use magic scenes. Which is of course limited. Only in the "magic scenes" menu I get the option of using a pin. In block scenes this is impossible.

To work around this I could use a variable but they are not accepted in Magic Scenes.

Is there a way to use a variable in a magic scene or do i have to make a virtual device? Or is there any other way to work around this?

I just want: if pin code = correct, then start scene A, B or C

Any help would be appreciated!

@JelleO based on your 'magic scenes' I think you have a home center 2.

I saw this video and got the keypad to work as described above... I'm stuck with making a scene that is activated by correct PIN entry
