TUYA TS-601

MaciekJ

Question

Hi. I testes it but HC3 indicates that device is added to the network but it is not visible. Reset removes it from the network but adding again with success doesn't show any new device. Any help?

Not claiming otherwise, but imho "TS0601" is quite generic, it can refer to many TUYA devices. If you type TS0601 in the search field on thew Z2M site you get quite a list...

For example,

Yeah, it has been around for a while, sold under many different brands. ZigBee Herdsman, the component used to talk to the devices, uses a "fingerprint" technique to differentiate between devices. The details are on GitHub.

@MaciekJ excellent! Now we know it is supported by Zigbee2MQTT so it could theoretically work - or start working with a future update of HCx firmware... At the moment mainly basic lights, switches and sensors on HC...

Your device looks a lot like the "Moes Tuya Smart ZigBee Human Presence Detector Radar Detection Sensor"

It is an interesting new kind of "radar" sensor, I guess it is a 24 GHz model but don't quote me because I don't see that specified in the manual. I've seen similar devices appear on the market about a year ago (as modules from different vendors)

If you are interested in technical background and performance, I can recommend this article (though it is not specifically about this Moes sensor):

Steinel has them but I think they dropped Z-Wave. We sell and support them in KNX variant. Good news, they see through walls, bud news they see through walls. And detection is like cone shaped and you adjust lower diameter of the cone.

Not just True Presence, but whole iHF line. True presence also uses CO2 and other values to determine somebody there.
