RGBW2 and a physical touch toggle/dimmer

Question

Posted (edited)

Hi,

I currently have a bunch of LED strips (single white) which can be toggled/dimmed by a small capacitative touch controller at the edge of the strip. Is it possible to keep something like this control and yet add an RGBW controller to automate the strips? I presume the currently installed touch dimmer won't work (it is always off after power is restored), but does something similar that can be used exist? I imagine I would have to wire the RGBW between the touch dimmer and the led strip, but I might be able to do that. Or maybe a different solution for this exists? I'd rather not get into multiple remotes etc for this.

Now that I’ve looked more closely — there are the inputs on the RGBW 2 controller. If I connected one touch button there, is the firmware flexible enough to get the controller to change the brightness on button hold and toggle the lights on buttton tap?
