Replace current Heating controller with smart Controller. But which one.....?

Question

Posted

Hello,

I have a HC2 and I like to install a smart heating controller but not sure which one to buy. I lack the exact knowledge how some smart controllers work/should be installed.

From Fibaro I see the "The Heat Controller" which looks great and controls the heat panel to which it is connected too.

But how does this work towards the central heating system? How is the communication towards the central heater itself? There still needs to be a central heating controller, right?

Does anyone can explain how this works or recommend a good solution to replace my current heating controller which is a standard ATAG controller wired to the central heating system.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Peter

Hi,

I don't see why you need heat controller with Fibaro hub, hub will be the controller.

Just use z-wave smart thermostat like Heltun(z-wave 700),HeatIt.
