HC2 hangs up on regular basis

krizso

Question

Hi!

I have an issue that was solved, I hope by Fibaro Support.

They said the issue was related to the size of the database and amount of notifications.

Do anybody has a clue what these notification could be and which database was mentioned?

Maybe I should check my codebase but I would need some advice how I should start?

Yes, that is a plausible explanation

Yes, all history, power reports and temperature go into a database on your 10 year old flash memory inside your HC2 - as a user you have no access to this database.... Flash memory from that era is not fast so growing database means slowdowns...

It is more about device parameters and especially power reporting (eg by Wall Plugs) and temperature reporting. Code does not have a big impact on database, but of course some code is more efficient than other code.

To improve your situation because the problem reappears, read this topic, run the script, and follow its advice
