Question

Posted

Anyone know how often the FGMS-001 motion sensor reports back battery status and is the time interval configurable? Couldn't find anything in the manual. TIA

Malcolm

Where? I'm not a Home Center user.  Is there not a device parameter that can be set?

I reports when it wakes up. That is a specific Z-Wave term, and it is not called a parameter because the interval setting is not a part of "parameters". It is a separate concept. Wake up can be manuel eg by 3-clicking the button on most Fibaro devices, however, click sequences are device dependent and it is best to find the answer in the device's manual.

This however is not the full story of how battery level gets measured. Keep reading.

Wake Up Interval is something every battery device has, and every gateway supports setting it. I can look up the default but for now I am going to guess it is every 6 hours

@MalcolmS Why don't you tell us the real problem behind this question, because nobody on this forum has ever cared about the measurement interval?

Very likely your question has already been answered in this topic which gives in-depth answers to all battery questions. It is a must-read to continue the discussion

Thank you, that's helpful. All understood.

As per the title, question related to the FGMS-001 motion sensor. It's default wake up is 7,200s
